    Reinstall control software

    LC 59120

Hard drive in pc controller died, was running build 377. Fresh hard drive and windows install, upgraded to build 400. Now my axis orientation and distances are all wrong.

If I tell it to go 1" in X, it moves like 1.75".

edit: Found scale factor sticker on machine.

    How about this though still?

Also my X+ and X- directions are swapped, and y+ and y- are swapped.

Did I loose all sorts of other parameters when my hd died?

One at a time, go through your steps per unit If you have the high speed upgrade, it's different, but usually it's 20320 units per inch, -20320 if it's going the wrong direction. There's also a system setting for homing direction, but get your units right first. Then work on homing direction. Also, and because Techno's software is so buggy, quit the program after each setting change. One of the first things I'll be doing for one customer is removing Techno's software and installing my own, as it suits their needs better.

Change your X/Y Orientation to -1 in Setup>System. I'm still running 377 which you can still download. It has been very stable and functional. I'll try the latest version one of these days.
