Thank you to evryone in advance. Can BCC create a set up sheet? If so, how does one go about doing so?

    Thanks a million.

Predator Virtual CNC Level 3 will generate setup sheets. You can get creative with some of the post commands to make your own using comments. Crude but it can be effective.

On that same note, I would like to see some examples of setup sheets that people use in day to day operation. I'd be interested in making one.

    BCC set up sheets

THANKS!! my job now, we hand fill in a sheet printed from excel. we put a generic list on the machine after set up and running, just seq number and tool number with a small description. i really like the set up sheets from esprit. i have some basic ones i use to use other places i have been that are in word. i have thought that i could create a post in BCC just to output tool data and seq number for a set up sheet. i would be happy to send you anything i have. THANKS again!!

I like your idea of using a separate post just for the setup sheet. Sounds like a useful tool.

I dont know what a setup sheet is.

Is it like instruction and setup information for the machine operator from the Cad/Cam guy?

    Burr,
That is pretty much it. Ours used to list Tool #, What type and size of tool, any D offsets and Maximum Z depth. It was all hand written. That way the operator/setup person could assemble the tools while other parts were running and know what length everything needed to be. We never did get one to post out exactly what we wanted with Mastercam. I have not tried with BobCAD. I agree the post Idea is interesting.
