Are break out boards sensitive to shock from static?

I just got my kelling steppers, drivers and break out. Before I take the break out board and drivers out of the wrapping I just wanted to know are they like computer ram where if you touch them the wrong way you damage them from static? Or are they something you can play with in your hands all day without having to worry about that? Thanks

    Slashmaster,

To be on the safe side you may want to observe standard ESD handling precautions, although rare it is possible to damage your components with a static shock.

    Jeff...
Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
