    NC Simulation

    Hello,

I have start a few month ago a simulation program to simulate a 3D milling toolpath.
I want to implement in this program now the simulation of a toroidal cutter. but for that I need to resolve the equation of the intersection of a line and the surface swept by a toroidal tool . Any information or idea will be welcome. It can be simplified by finding the equation of the green curve show in the following image :

    Regards,

You can find a copy of this program and the last source code at :

Sorry this web site and the program are only available in French.

    Thank's to me

After several months I have found a solution to this problem.

You can also find now on my site an attempt of translation in English of my pages HTML.
    http://5axes.free.fr/devel_NCVisu_en.htm

(The source code is available only in French)

Sorry for the quality of these translations. English is not my native language and some translation have been done with a translation software.

Thanks to CNCZone.com for the information that I can find there.

This thread is 5 years old. I wonder if 5axis found the answer? It would be nice to see what the results were.
