BEFORE CHANGING ANY PARAMETER VALUE, WRITE THE EXISTING VALUE DOWN!!!

Be VERY careful changing stroke limits! You can end up running into the "Hard" limits and then you may well have to turn off the machine and hand wind the axis off the limit.
Why do you need to modify this setting?
Are the existing limits different from those set at factory? i.e. modified by lotsm or are you just trying to sneak a few extra mm?
To change the "User" limits you should be able to see the required parameter page easily.
Press the "Parameter" button and scroll through the pages until you see a page called User limits, or something similar.
Press the "Set" button and key in the new limit value directly (if you know exactly what you want) or better method is to press the "ADD" button and enter the amount you want the value to change by. THEN TEST VERY CAREFULLY!
If you run into a Hard Limit, you should be able to turn on the Limit Over-ride switch in the electrical cabinet (be sure of what switch you are using first! make sure it is the Limit overtravel switch and not system load switch or something equally bad...) when the overtravel switch is ON you must use the system in Manual mode and on hand-wheel. Move the axis in the opposite direction from the over-travel and then turn off the switch.
Alter the User limit by a small amount and try again.
    Hope this helps.
    Brian.

    procedure of axis limit setting

This will make user stroke limit equal to system stroke limit and on right mechanical location.
    1. go to parameters, select system parameters, find stroke limits screen.
    2. add a values to make sure limits are extended.
    3. move axis to the limit and over it until hardware limit swich is activated.
    4. overtravel release on.
    5. move axis (5 ... 8) mm avay from the position, where hardware LS was activated.
    6. overtravel release off.
    7. calculate the value. Find and push "calculate" software button or enter CAL command when relevant parameter value is selected.

On the system limit settings You can add 0 to parameter. This makes coresponding user limit = system limit

    Why not?

Push the parameters button, then page down until you see "User Parameter"

for newer controls U10, U100 there is screen selection.
Maybe the same for OSP700? On parameters mode choose "search" and the last item - "display select".

The system parameters page is usually hidden on the 700M control.
    1. Press the "Parameters" soft key.
    2. Page down until you see "NC Optional Parameter (bit)"
    3. Arrow down to No. 16, set bit 7 to a "1". This will enable setting of system parameters.
    4. Page down until you see "System Parameters" page.
    - The stroke end limits will be a positive stroke limit and negitive stroke limit. These numbers are ALWAYS entered as a positive number (do not use a +, just enter the value) from the axis encoder (RAPA) value from the "Check Data" page.
    5. Just add or subtract the amount you want to move the end limit BUT be VERY careful to not hit the limit switches, you might break them or even hit the hard stops.
    - Good Luck
