Motor siezes up on Benchtop mill

Hello, I have a benchtop mill. Not sure what brand it is but it's made in India. The Y motor went back to far and pushed the bearing out of it's housing in back of the machine and siezed the motor up. I bought a new motor and installed it and that motor also siezes up. I think the problem might be in the board of the controller, it is a DSP Servo 511, but I'm not sure what to look for on the board, or where to buy a new board. We are running Mach 3 with it.

Are you sure it is the motor? Can you run the new motor in free air? I would be suspicious that the bearing that was pushed out might be damaged, or the screw or nut may be out of alignment after the crash, causing binding.

Yes, the new motor siezes up in mid air.

Did you see if a controller from one of the other axis seizes your new motor?
