    Newbie to CNCzone: Services Question

    Hello,

This is my first post to CNCzone. First about me. I am a hobbyist with an interest with CNC applications for rocketry (I have membership in a rocketry organization called Tripoli). My CNC interests are in mills and lathes. I have two questions:

    1. Can someone point me to material that would be a good starting point to get familiar with the basics of CNC. Books, websites, etc would be welcome.

    2. I would like to find a member of your group to help me fabricate a nose cone out of wood using a CNC lathe (rough dimensions are 17 inches long and about 2.8 inches in diameter), preferably in the Houston area. But I have no idea how to go about this.

    Thanks so much,
    Greg

    Welcome to cnczone

    1) You can learn a lot from the cnczone forums.

    2) You can post a new thread here for someone to turn parts for you.
