    X/A axis slaving issues

I'm having X/A axis slaving issues while setting up Mach 3 for my router.

I set A slaved to X in "slave" menu and a to "linear" and "slave to home with main" as well as active and the ports and pins. Also the motor tuning is set same as X but there is no activity on any DRO either on run progran screen or on Diagnostics.

I don't want to make any wiring connections till the software is ironed out.

What am I missing? Any suggestions?

Is the A axis enabled in Ports and Pins, Motor Outputs?

When you say any DRO, do you mean the A axis, or all the axis?

Got it working, altho there is still no DRO showing movement for the A axis on any screen.

Changes for A axis on motor tuning seem to have no effect whatever, I can only hope that the speed of the two motors and the pitch of the two ball screws are close enough as to not cause a problem.

They both need to have the exact same settings. You can't try to compensate with different settings.

And I don't think the A DRO is supposed to show anything when it's slaved.

Yeah, I have x and a slaved, and A never shows anything, which is fine, because it is just X #2.

I actually used one of the screen editing programs and got rid of the A data just to clear up some screen.
