    Flat surfacing a timber burl

I have a really nice timber burl about 800mm x 400mm oval (roughly) and I would like to engrave a sign on it. Unfortunately, the surface is uneven (not flat). Is there an easy way of producing a flat surface using Vcarve Pro? or do I need to do it with manual passes a little at a time? If you have faced this problem before, could you let me know how you solved it please. Cheers .. Oncoarse.

Yes it can be done by creating pocket covering entire area to be flatten using biggest endmill you have. I use 30mm mortise bit same that i use to flycut my spoilboard. Flip and mill other side if needed.
