need help for g540 motor tuning.

    hi .
i am new to forum and i would like to say hello and glad to be here.

finally finished building my cnc router.
the complete design and wood working is belong to mine.this forum and internet did help me lots and thanks for that..

i use KL23H284-35-4B keling inc motors.
    1/2-10 acme 5 start screw from mc-carr
my motor driver is Gecko G540 4 AXIS driver.

i bought most of my components from Keling inc.

My problem is tuning my motors to Mach3 software.
i really cannot figure out what can be my adjustments and how smooth and healty can the machine be work with that values.

    Motor tuning and setup page has;
    steps per
    velocity
    acceleration
    G's
    step pulse
    dir pulse

adjustments.could ya please guys can help me to adjust my machine.

    thanks for any help.

i use EMC instead of mach3 but it should be a simple task of picking the highest speed at which it sounds good then finding an acceleration which responds well to a change in direction.
so basically it is a hit and miss affair were you have to test it after each adjustment

try a high speed first then lower it to suit
try a high low acceleration but it should be high enough that it can keep up with your speed because:

low acceleration = low deceleration = crashes

    thanks for your responce.
i am now in the middle of moving situation to a new home and have no time for playing the machine but is itching me so badly as ya can imagine))
    what i found is
    4000 for steps per
playing with the acceleration and velocity values and fing the best adjustment for the movement

5 value for the step and dir pulse.i really dont know why some ppl give this value for keling inch motors .its the internet search and my final ideas for the machine motor tuning numbers.i just wanted to talk and make correction from the guys knows way better than me

    200x10x10/5=4000.
for the steps per value is that the right formula?
    thanks
