Bit of an issue with motion

Hi everyone. I am new to machining and new to mach3. I hope you guys can give some advise. I am running an old NASA mill that is retrofitted. Things are going fairly well with one exception. When I am working on a piece that involves simultaneous xy, with z motion the machine takes short pauses. It does not seem to miss anything just pauses. This does not happen on 2d parts as the movements are simultaneous in only the x and y and the z is separate. Here is a video of what I am trying to explain. Please don't pick on my tool paths as I realize they could be better but I am just getting started. Thanks for any help.

Looks like you are in Exact Stop mode. Change to CV mode in General Config and see if it helps.

Thanks ger21. I looked and it seems like the machine is in CV mode. Any other suggestion? This is actually getting really frustrating as it increases my machine time substantially. Thanks

Run Drivertest.exe in the Mach3 folder, and see if you get a smooth, flat line and a steady pulse rate.
