    Drill cycle post-processor for a Charly4U

Hi in my lab we have a small 3-axis cnc machine a charly4u
    http://www.charlyrobot.com/2-Web_sit...harly4U-GB.htm

The only problem is that te machine does not support any of the G-code for drilling hole (for example g-81 and g-80)

For the last couple of days I've been working on a way to circumvent the problem, but it does not work... EdgeCam always generate a canned drilling cycle and I dont know what to do.

    Thanks in advance.

    Longhand drilling

    Hi M,

There are two easy ways of getting longhand code for drilling.

First one is on the hole cycle itself -see attached image. There is a dropdown box which lets you chose longhand or not.

Secondly - on the post processor (CGD file which opens with Code Wizard) if you look under Nc Styles,G-codes and Modality, and then under Hole cycles you will find a check box that says 'drill cycles always longhand'.

They should both do the same thing.

    Good luck!

    Mark
