Did you define a stock boundary for your toolpath? Do you see the stock when you go into Verify?
Or... Your toolpath isn't any where near the stock.
Select the Tool at the top of the Veriofy control panel and zoom out to see if it's cutting out in space somewhere.

Hi Mike,

Are you hitting thre green check button at the bottom of the page, or the "Machine" arrow on the VCR controls at the top?
The green check just exits verify.

I'm hitting the machine arrow.
As soon as I hit it all of the other arrows are grey'd out except the rewind arrow.
Do a Backplot. I'm guessing there is no toolpath to verify.

Thanks for your help
Your file solid cut part Verify's with no problem in X4.
Have you tried completely closing Mastercam X3 and then restarting Mastercam to see if this file will solid cut part Verify properly?
Here is what it looks like on my end:
I tried closing the software and reopening backplot works ok but not verify
What kind of graphics card to you have?
Also, try checking Disable Hardware Acceleration. Follow the instructions Mastercam gives you when you check this box.
Then try solid cut part Verify again.
Is this the correct info?

It works!!!!!! thanks a lot bowman, i'm new to Mastercam and am working through a training manual but unfortunately the manual doesn't help if something does not work, thanks again

Glad you got it to work.
Suggest you purchase a good graphics card as this seems to be the problem.
I only use graphics cards with Nvidia Quadro chips. I'm sure others can offer their opinions on what might work. I find that the less than $200 I paid for my graphics card gives me everything I want for the applications I run.
Mastercam's help isn't much help to me. I prefer video training and I prefer that video training to be from Tips For Manufacturing / Mike Mattera.
You might also want to check out the independent Mastercam forum which is also a very good source of help:
