Question Specify starting endpoint in dxf import ?

    Hi Scott

Is there a way to specify which endpoint the chaining starts at ? Or more importantly where the toolpath starts.

I have tried "sorting" and reversing chain but cannot get it to start in a different place.

I am using Solid Edge as my CAD and saving my drawings as dxf , I did not see any way to specify chains or endpoints there.

    Thanks

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

This ability was just added for version 2.20 beta 5. This version has a new button on the toolbar that let's you pick where you want the chain to start. It also shows you on the viewport where the chain start points are as well as the direction of the chain. Plus you can now apply some translations to the drawing such as shift, mirror and rotate.

    Thanks,
    Scott
