Question Moving the Feed Axis with the Spindle locked?

    Hi,

I have a Doosan 6030 Revo Mecatec mill with a Fanuc 0m control. I have a project that requires broaching a slot in the cylinder. Does anyone know how to get around the safety in the machine that prevents the axis from moving in Feed mode with the spindle off?

I am trying to move the Z and X axis in Feedrate mode with the spindle locked in the orient position...Built in safety prevents me from doing this...

    Thanks,
    Richard

M84 allows feeding with the spindle stopped. M85 cancels M84.

    Not working...

Tried that command...In our machine, M84 relates to the ATC...M59 needs to be use, then it wants to check for a pot down position.

I've had to do this on other machines and it was a change in one of the parameters, but I can't find my notes to apply it on this machine.... Anyone else have any ideas on how I can do this? It's light broaching, so I figured if I can set the tool up, orient the spindle and set the tool manually so it's in the right direction I could get it done without removing the part and doing it as a secondary op.......

    Thanks!

Sorry, M84 works on the newer Daewoo/Doosan mills.

    Try

M184 = Axis Moving Valid when Spindle Stop
M185 = Axis Moving Invalid when Spindle Stop
