    Tooling database

    Hey guys,

I am currently learning how to use artcam pro at my uncles and have some Amana in-groove bits that can be seen at http://www.amanatool.com/ingroove/

I was wondering how I go about adding these tools to the artcam database so they cut accurately? I am really know how to add tools, but have no idea what I would enter and cant seem to find information anywhere. Any help would be great!

    thanks again,

Open a new file, then go to the tool path tab at the bottom. choose the tool database and create a new tool based on the closest type you are using in relation to the types listed. Make the changes to the actual profile. and you will have made a new tool.

For instance. If I choose a round over, and you are using a Pointed 0.250R round over,

make the D=0.5 the R= 0.250 the d= 0.0 this will give you a pointed 0.250R round over with a cut diameter of 0.500 "

If you make the d=0.250 then this round over will have a 0.250 flat at the bottom or 0.125 step on the side cut with a .0.250R .
