They are currently at winter sale prices, and we're offering $4.99 flat shipping for orders over $99. We also have 30mm x 10 ft rails in stock, which ship by truck freight.

These are first of many automation products that we plan to add to our catalog. We're particularly excited about these rails, as we feel they're ideal for folks building their own routers and plasma tables thanks to the low cost, availability, and ease of installation.

We're fans of using aluminum T-slot extrusions for building CNCs since they're so easy to cut, join, and adjust. Our 20mm rails can be bolted directly to standard 60mm-wide aluminum extrusions (30mm T-slot spacing) without modification, while the 30mm rails can be bolted to standard 80mm-wide aluminum extrusions (40mm T-slot spacing). Likewise, the 20mm and 30mm rails can be adapted to "10 series" and "15 series" inch extrusions by simply drilling additional holes in the extruded aluminum T-support.

Could these rails be butted up against each other to make the overall length longer? Will you guys be supplying any longer 20mm rails in the near future?

Is the $4.99 shipping for as much as you order that isn't freight?

The rails can be butted up, but not straight out of the box due to the light chamfer ground on the ends of the shafts. Some careful grinding will be necessary. Yes, we can supply longer lengths in the future. What lengths were you interested in?

The bearings can be adjusted with a set screw on the top of the block. We don't offer the clamping style on the side of the block at the moment.

I've converted a Super X3 a while ago but I have been thinking of building gantry type machine to eventually replace the X3 with larger travel and quite frankly more precision (hopefully).
Thinking I'd probably mount them on a steel tubular frame filled with concrete or E/G.
Do you think these type of rails would suit such a machine or are they for lighter work such as a router?
