Fanuc 18i-TB with Manual Guide i problem

    Hello

I recently bought a 2006 Doosan 2000sy with a Fanuc 18i-TB control. When the control is turned on it will display "loading graphics", then display "loading manual guide i"
Once it has finished loading control is now on, I now can't find the manual guide i anywhere on the display. When I press the custom button it is just not there. I have attached pic's of the special settings parameters, would some of you more experianced gentlemen take alook at them an tell me if this control is capable of Manual Guide i an how to get it going.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

Your machine definatly has EzGuide i installed as an option

When you push custom you woul dnormally get the option in the right most softkey to select EzGuide or NC Prog. Depending upon your preference you can choose either

Then when you push the PROG key on the Fanuc MDI panel it will either be in e MGi/EzGuide or NC Prog screen

Else I would sugest it has not been setup correctly
The best course of action would be to ask the dealer you purchased it from to contact Doosan

    Check Keep Relay
    K10.5
    K51.5

    Check Parameters
    14700#7= ?
    14794 = ?

MGi is sometimes set to load with the graphics button. Which button is used is changed by parameter setting, but I can not recall number at moment. I have seen it configured to load on Custom, Graphics, and Blank, and all of these on Doosan machines.

    As MM said...check 14700#7, and 14794. Also, if 14794 all 0, then check 14795.

If I'm not mistaken, Doosan brought in these machines with Manual Guide-i loaded, but it had to be turned on ($$$) to function. They offered EZ Guide-i I ($$$), their own version, with additional screens, and tailored to their machines.

That vintage machine was right at the changeover from having to have EZ Guide-i installed in the field to having it preloaded at the factory, and only having to activate it in the field.

Here's the section on MG-i from the Fanuc 16/18i-T Descriptions Manual. The full manual PDF is about 12MB.
