    hello all members.
I wonder if there is any refrence for the carbide (cutter or endmill) you know that we are cutting defrent materials ... steel , stanles, hardend steelalloys,brass,alominum......etc
few of us could solve the serialnumber buzel which is writen on the tool cuter.
becuse ther is no international uonion between companyes which are producing tools.
any one could helpe all the cnczone members that would be greatfull.
    best regards.

as you pointed out, carbide classification is not universal, therefore for specifics you’re going to have to check the manufactures page. For general info, buy machinery’s handbook - there is too much info within for any mortal to post on a website. It would be like trying to become a physician without buying Gray's Anatomy.

I’m going to get a rep around here on pushing machinery’s handbook, but that’s ok – knowledge is power and you will acquire more metal working power/$ with this than anything else
