Orbital Vibration Welding or Another Method?

I'm trying to weld stranded wire to a Honeywell thermal switch (over-temp safety switch).

Can't solder it. Can't spot weld it. I've heard orbital vibration welding might be the way to go, but don't have much info on it.

Also, what are battery packs welded with? The connectors to those are much less delicate than what I'm trying to weld, so what ever they're using might work for the thermal switches.

    TYIA.

Are you referring to "Friction stir" welding?
