    Bar Pull Delays

    Hello,
I have a PUMA 8HC-3A that I am using a bar puller on. My issue is that when the program executes the Chuck open command it takes from 5 to 7 seconds before the machine will continue and then the same thing hapens on the Chuck close. this adds at least 15 seconds to a part that should only take 30 seconds. Its a pretty steep price to pay! Does anyone know of Parameters or settings that adjust the delay for these two functions.

The control is a FANUC 15T.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi is this delay after the proxy comes on?

    Is your CNC a OT-C?

    I looked through a ladder I see

    TMR - 2 - D0315 (Time Delay For Chuck (5 Sec))
    &
    TMR - 3 - D0320 (Time Delay For Chuck (3 Sec))

I do not have an 'L' PMC manual so I can't check but I expect the D indicates it is one of the Diagnostic values you need to change. ??

    Thanks for the reply.
Sounds like there may be an answer out there for me.
The delay is after the chuck is open and the proximity switch has activated. Also after the chuck has closed.
I do not know what you mean by "Is your CNC an OT-C?"
I have no "PMC Manual" so I have no idea how or where do go looking for/chaging the values.

    Mystic Monkey,

You are right, with a little help, I located the timers and found that both were set at 4.9seconds, I have since reset them to 1 second and am very pleased with the results.

OT-C is an older model Fanuc control.
