    Help With Industrial PC

I just bought an older industrial-style pc to run my machine. I currently have a dell laptop that I move back and forth. This new pc is the vertically mounted rack style with a touch-screen LCD built in.

The problem is I need to load Mach onto it and it has no CDROM or floppy. It's running NT 4.0 workstation and no USB support. I can't get ethernet cfg on it cuz once I try to cfg it wants the i386 dir, which I can't supply.

I am looking for any info I can find on it.. its an OR Industrial Computer, model is PC5300 (i think).

I want to open it up and see if there is a floppy controller, IDE channel, etc..... anything to get Mach on it... maybe hyperterm and use Xmodem to transfer the file over serial cable....?

    Thanks
    Buddy

The bios should automatically recognize a HD or floppy?
Does it have a computer card in a slot or is it a M.B.?
It may pay just to install XP once the HD is in it.
There are only a couple of Industrial PC manuf. out there, it could be a Advantech single card PC.

I am going to open it up tonight. it has a phoenix bios and a 3.4 gb hard drive. I don't really care what OS is on it as long as I can drive the cnc with it. I prefer Mach3 since thats what I use now.... hopefully know more once I peek inside.

If I had to install XP on it, that would be fine. If I get it to load drivers for the touch screen and parallel port I will be in business.
    Thanks,
    Buddy
