Did you try this http://www.meau.com/functions/dms/ge...00000472800000?
Hi,
Try attached procedure, give feedback if any corrections needed.

Sorry,
I think the default port no. for M500 series is 1. The attached procedure was prepared on basis of M60 series, but never tested.
So in the Step 2) set the par 6 Hostlink Port – 1, Device – 4. and not 2.

girishdk,
That procedure is for Computer Link which requires additional hardware and option install on the 500 control.
Hi onthebumper,
You are right, this option is required.
As per feedback from our customers, for Die-Mould application with dripfeed, i think it is minimum required.
When using Dripfeed without HOSTLINK, i am afraid only 7-8 blocks will be transferred from PC to CNC buffer at a time.
With HOSTLINK i think 248-4096 blocks will be transferred at a time to NC buffer & hence the speed is more, finish better.
Above is our thinking from the feedback we received from our Die-Mould customers.
Any feedback of your experience is most welcome.
Thanks a lot & Best regards,
Girish

Yes you are correct. You can drip feed without Computer Link option but the finish on the part will not be so good if you are doing small movements like Die/Mold is doing.
Computer Link option is much better for Die/Mold because of the buffer.
I just wanted to clarify that the option would need to be purchased to follow your procedure.
Ethernet option for 500 control is also a very nice option for Die/Mold with much higher speeds and better reliability, in my opinion.
thanks for all your feed back guys, will try all of the above and see if it works.
