    1 1/4" - 12 UNS ?

I can't find the above listed thread type in the machinists handbook yet it is a thread which has been specified on one of our product drawings.

Has the development team made an error by specifying a thread which doesn't exist?

    Thanks

The standard designation would be 1 1/4" - 12 UNF

If the designer has specified dimensions that differ from the UNF standard, the thread could be considered 1 1/4" - 12 UNS (special).
