    1 2 3 block

    Hate to admit it but I don't know how to use a 1 2 3 block. I just bought a pair from McMaster http://www.mcmaster.com/ 8630A74.
    I need to get parallels ends on a .5x.5 aluminum bar.

    I thought I should bolt the 1 2 3 block to the table (TM-2 tool room mill) and then clamp the bar to the block. I'm not real sure how to do that stuff though.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I have never bolted a 1-2-3 block to a table. I have used them to get a part up off the table and then put a clamp on top of the part over the block. I've also used them in a vise to get the top of part above the vice jaws.

    You can also use them for inspection purposes...... Here's a link to a thread on the zone discussing this topic:
