    200 Oz-In 6.5 Amp Bipolar Parallel

    what would be a good driver for Model P22NRXA-LDS-NS-02NEMA 23
    200 Oz-In
    8 Wire
    May be Wired Bipolar, Unipolar, Series, or Parallel
    3.3 Amp Bipolar Series ~ 6.5 Amp Bipolar Parallel

    and i have a 24 v 6.5 amp power supply
    would the G201 work for this motor ?

    Hi,

    The g201 sholud work. They are rated at 7 amps. You could email them to see what they recommend.

    You need a bigger powersupply if those motors really are 35 volts. You should be running the powersupply at some positive multiple of the motor voltage. For example 35 volt powersupply for a 5 volt motor. Also you need more current. You won't run 3 6.5 amp motors on a 6 amp powersupply.

    Dose the G201 do Full and Half-step?
    whats the diffrents g201 or the g210?

    I ordered one G201 7A, 80V 10 microstep drive to test yesterday
    one thing i dont understand is why the voltage rating is so high on all these Pacific Scientific Powermax II Stepper Motors I got off E-BAY.
    I have six Power max II P21nsxc-LSS-NS-03 65 volt max 1.75amp Nema 23 1.8degree 200steps per revolution 116oz of holding torque.
    I have 2 need to get 1 more Pacific Scientific Powermax II Stepper Motor Model P22NRXA-LDS-NS-02 NEMA 23 200 Oz-In 8 Wire
    May be Wired Bipolar, Unipolar, Series, or Parallel
    3.3 Amp Bipolar Series ~ 6.5 Amp Bipolar Parallel
    2.71 Amp Unipolar Series 35VDC
    1.8 Degree / 200 Steps Per Revolution

    I wonder what the power suppy voltage needs to be.

    I thank I found the volts per/phase it is multiply rated current by the rated resistance to arrive at the motors voltage. so for my 200 oz-in would be 6.5 amp * res .21= 1.363 volts so a 24v power supply should work good and i have one 6.5 amp 24vpower supply and i will get 2 more so i will have some over kill

    hi my power supply only puts out 23.8 volts I know the g201 needs 24 to 80 would this work or do i need 24 + volts my transformer is 17vac *1.4=23.8 win rounded off would it be 24v?

    I can't see the .2 volts making a difference. Really tho, to fully take advantage of the gecko drive, you should be running a high a voltage as you can. 24 volts will be good for learning, but if it were me, I would go much higher as soon as I could.

    Do you know where I could buy a 120vac in with 24vac @15-20 amp out transformer so I could make a 33.6 vdc power supply I cant seem to find one.
