I have a 2010 3016 with 18i Fanuc controls. I am in the process of fitting up an air speeder, and noticed that M19 registers to a different position that the one for a tool change, which in the macros is M190. As locating the speeder is critical for for the torque bar/air feed - can anyone explain the difference? Is there any way to have them be the same?

Also, I tried to index the spindle by degrees (rotate the spindle and end up X degrees from 0.) Some controllers do this but I can't figure out how to make this work on the Fanuc 18i.

On my Fadal 4525 with Fanuc 18IMB5, the M19 is an electronic orientation to a rather random position. This position may be adjustable via parameter... if you can figure out which parameter controls it. The M190 is electronic and also actuates a mechanical detent. The detent is not super strong, but does provide perfectly good orientation for an air spindle or tapping head orientation block. I would suggest just using the M190 and ignoring the M19.
Spindle orientation is not available on this application, at anything resembling an affordable cost anyways. As I understand it, it requires a different spindle motor, encoder, and drive unit as well as control options. Affordable at an OEM level, but not as a retrofit.

If available on the control, I believe M19 Pxxxx (degrees) is the appropriate code.
