    3d scanner with cad-cam

Newbie to the 3d market. I’m looking for the best 3d scanner to use with my Bobcad/cam software. I have a flash forge and can’t find the proper slicer to make work. What is the best medium priced scanner and slicer combo that people have found to work? I just want to be able to draw up my own parts and print them. I’ve spent weeks trying different slicers for the flash forge and nothing works . With just starting over I’m sure there is a combination of printer and slicer to be able to use bobcad to achieve this thanks for your feedback

BobCAD/CAM, which you already own, lets you draw up your own parts and save them in the STL format. Make sure that they are "watertight", since any holes will confuse your slicer and cause printing failure. Any slicer should be able to translate that watertight STL into code that will run on your FlashForge 3D printer. Look on the list of machines that the slicer supports; it should be on there. Failing that, Flashforge has a slicer on their page for free download: "Orca", which should work with all their printers: https://flashforge.com/pages/software-flash-maker

I recently tried out a 3D scanner that I thought was a cut above the rest; the Miraco from Revopoint. Unlike most scanners, it's self-contained, so you don't have to juggle a laptop and a separate device. I found that it made good scans quickly, and had software included to process them so they work for 3D printing or CNC carving. I've got a link to it on my site that gives you a discount if you click through: https://computersculpture.com/revopo...co-3d-scanner/
