Try setting your parrallel port to EPP in the bios sometimes this matters.

Is your firewall or anti virus blocking you?

Was mach 3 installed with the anti virus turned off.
You may need to reinstall it.

Are you plugged in to the parrallel port (Not a usb adaptor)

Are you saying that you connected the 25 pin cable from the TB6560 board to the RS232 port? If that is what you have done, it will not work. You must connect the cable to an LPT port.

I tried one these adaptors to connect my laptop and it didn't work.
Laptops have issues running cnc's it may have been for that reason.
If you go on ebay you can buy one for less than $5 delivered.
For that price it's got to be worth a try

PS; Parrallel port cards for desktops are cheap.
I would go that way. .

Have you reinstalled mach 3 ? (it should find the new card then)
Is the lpt port set to epp sometimes this matters ?
Do you have a printer to test the port is setup right and working ?
What operating system are you using? (Does mach run on it)
Check the device manager and make sure the card and mach drivers
are installed ok.
If you dont have a printer use a multi meter to test the port for power.
Double check your ports and pins config.

In the bios

Like i said test the port.
Connect a printer to it or use a multi meter.
When it's working and your ports and pins config is right it will work.


I'm out of ideas maybe someone else can help.
