4th axis with side of tool ?

    Hi everyone!

please to meet you. I'm new here so I hope you forgive my inexperience!! lolol
I have just joined a new company where we are using OneCNC. I am just getting used to be, but it's so much easier to use than what we were using at my last place!

one thing I would like to know is: can one cnc do 4th axis machining where the part rotates, while the side of the tool move back and fore across it? Please see attached picture. I know that you can index the 4th axis to a position so do machining there, but for this kind of machining, it would involve hundreds of steps!!!

    thank you all
