We have an available operator position in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, running a 5 axis CNC router at an established architectural fabrication company. We machine parts and elements such as plywood frames, solid wood tabletops, folded aluminum composite panels, thermoformed Corian, aluminum and brass, big foam molds, etc. Mostly prototype and short run production work, with several jobs in progress at once.
Here are some of the things the ideal candidate would have experience with or capability:
Taking completed programs and machining parts, staging material, consistently double checking programs and cut parts, loading tooling, maintaining the machine, and doing things to refine the workflow and process during downtime.
CNC operation experience is a requirement. Programming and CAD knowledge are not required, but definitely an asset.
This is a full time position, and includes health insurance, paid time off, and a few other nice perks.
Please send resume showing relevant work, educational, or hobby experience. Looking to fill the position before April 1. Must currently reside within commuting distance.
