    502 Overtravel Alarm Fanuc 18T

Looking for some help with a 502 Overtravel +x and +z alarm. I was trying to figure out how to use a the conversational programming on a Fanuc 18t controller on my Conquest 42 SP. The turrett was in the middle of the machine to give me some time to stop it before things got out of hand. When I hit cycle start nothing moved but the 502 overtravel alarm came up. I can't get the machine to home or the alarm to reset. the turret will move in the -x and -z directions but I can not get it to move in the +x and +z direction . Restarting with CANCEL Op, doesn't work nor does pushing the E-stop reset button. I have looked all the internet and forums and can't find anything. Anybody out there have any ideas?
    Thanks

    The solution.

The 502 overtravel alarm refers to the second set of soft limits (parameters 1322 and 1323) I assume the 501 overtravel alarm refers to the first set of soft limits (parameters 1320 and 1321). I have no idea what I did to change these soft limits but somehow they changed I also have no idea why CANCEL Op didn't work but after setting them back to the factory settings (9999999999 and -9999999999) everything worked. Hope this helps someone out.

9999999999 and -9999999999 = NO LIMITS Cancel P must be held down from initial power on untill the entire boot sequence is done. It also only works on certain models.

I figured that's what the 999999999 meant, but I have the original parameters and that's what they where set to. There are also a third set of soft limit parameters 1324 and 1325 they are all set to 9999999999. I assume if those got messed up you would get a 503 alarm. While I was trying to get this thing to work I hit a soft limit that set a 501 alarm and I was able to clear that with the CANCEL P method. For some reason it did not work on the 502 alarm. Not too concerned about it now though. Thanks for the input.
