    6M Main board suffix numbers

    What is the difference between an A16B-1000-0030 / 05C and an A16B-1000-0030 / 06C

Presumably the 06C is a later release but is it functionally much different? Reason that I ask is that I've acquired an 06C version as a potential spare for my (currently working !!) 05C version.

I don't know the specific difference, but you can supposedly always replace a board with a higher revision.

The functionality is exactly the same. Fanuc might have done some minor "bug fixes" or changed some chip sets to "newer" versions for that time period.

HRH Reply is exactly correct. The 5C and 6C is the version changes. Function wise both are Same no need to worry about the Version for Replacement.

You can allways change to a higher revision number you can not go backwards to a lower one......!
