A friend of mine got a CNC Lathe from Gunhead at this site:

It is very heavy duty compared to my Sherline. I spent the same amount on my Sherline as I could have on one of these. And this one is a by far superior machine.

So, I am planning on buying a Manual 7x and upgrade it with the Gunhead Kit.

I make parts out of Stainless and Titanium for cars. And I need a volume producing CNC machine. I will just buy on from Gunhead, but I want to know if there are any other CNC Lathe of this caliber at the $3000 or less price point?

For turning stainless and titanium, I'd bypass the 7x lathes and proceed directly to the 8x12 lathe. It's a LOT more lathe for $100 more. Unless the parts you are making are extremely small, the additional mass of the 8x12 lathe would serve you well. If you're mechanically inclined at all (which it certainly sounds like you are), you could do your own CNC conversion quite easily, and come in at less than 50% of your $3k budget.
Just an option I thought I'd throw out there.
