Came across this site by goggling 3d cnc machines et and think it’s a pretty cool site. First please let me introduce myself and maybe give you a little of my background. I am a lab tech by profession with some background in electronics, computers and instrumentation - but one of my hobby interests is art. I have dabbled in drawing and oil painting, but and I am particularly interested in 3d computer modelling. Before I go of on a tangent and state that my intentions are to build/buy a machine that will carve a 3d relief of the Titanic out of a piece of driftwood, I would like to educate myself in how these machines work, what actually they are capable of and limitations. Are there any good websites (apart from this one) or publications that give handy tutorials? Oh, my preference would be to working with wood, or at least at first since this seems to me to be the most obvious medium. Any advice on where to look and learn would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Keith.
