    adding a tl1

Hi guys, just added a tl1 to my vf 2. Never had a cnc lathe before and having a hard time wrapping my head around the co ordinate system. Its so different to the vf2 in terms of mindset. Never had to think about axis on the manual mill. Any one with wise words to offer it would be greatly appreciated or any website to steer me to.
    thanks in advance.

Just keep wrapping. Eventually you will find your mind automatically switches gears between the two machine when you move from one to the other. It took me many months before I stopped programming the lathe in X and Y. Now I write and edit programs on both machines simultaneously when I am building fixtures and rarely program a Y move on the lathe.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

You might want to switch this topic to the Haas Lathe forum.
