    Air Air Volume

What is the typical assist air volume used on smaller (<50W) systems? I am considering adding it to my system. What do the Chinese systems that have assist air included use?

    air assist.

    Hi

    my chinese 60watt machine came with a 3hp/ 50litre compressor -
with the addition of a pressure regulator from ebay it is fine for my occasional use projects.

if i used the machine heavily i would invest a better quality , quieter compressor - or locate it further away!

Note , the chinese compressor came with very shoddy wiring and i had to fit an earth to it.

im not sure what is 'typically' supplied though....

i too am interested to hear aout what set-up other users have with chinese lasers

    cheers

    Hi,

I used the small air pump that was supplied with the machine. I think it's like the ones used for air brushes.

I have it mounted inside the machine cabinet. The only sound I can hear is the air coming out of the cone.

I find it more than adequate for air assist.

    Thanks for the help!

That pump in the picture was the one I think I saw on someones laser web page.. I found it for sale on this web site.

Is it the same one? It is rated at 1.06CFM at 2.5psi. Seems kind of weak. Does that seem right?

    I also found this one
