    Question Another Servodrive?

    Hello forum,

I'm currently developing a Servodrive for my own. A friend of mine said I should produce and sell it wehen it's working.
But before i invest much money into that I'm interested if there is any demand for a nother drive.
    The main features would be:
    • 400V/20A Powerstage with three Phase input.
    • up to 4Mhz step/dir input
    • Direct communication with Mach3 via Ethernet with integrated step generator
    • Internal Ethernet switch for routing to more drives
    • Profinet compatibility to communicate with Siemen S7

    There will be a smaller version with a 12 to 240V / 20A Powerstage.

So there is one Question how much would you pay for that kind of Servodrive (inkl. a fittet Servomotor with 4000 Counts per rev).

    Greetings from germany lexman

    Hi Lexman,
Just to clarify it looks like all you would need to connect to Mach3 would be an Ethernet cable. Is this correct? If so you would be doing you own plugin, correct?I would also ask AC/ DC input and output?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Interfacing with step/dir and Mach implies a mainly hobby market, not sure if there would be a demand for a 10Hp servo in this market, and also 3 phase at 400v would be a limitation, especially in N.A.
    Is it BLDC or AC?

Thanks for your replies. It would be an BLDC motor for the power version. The smaller version could also handle steeper motors as well. The voltage range is up to 400 V so you can fit a motor with a lower voltage. Do you doesn't have a three phase grid there in oversea? (sorry for that question bur I'm really busy at work and has not as much time as i want to have to . Dc and ac input.

Yes I'm developing my own plugin. At the moment its a bit difficult because i learned c# and c++ looks a bit strange :-D

    US 3ph is 208/220v & 480v as does Canada, but also has 575v 3ph.
Usually only available in commercial settings. Domestic 3ph is virtually non-existent.
