    Another used Tormach thread

Hello everyone - I am located in the pacific northwest and like MooreLei I am in the market for a 2nd hand Tormach. If you are in the area and interested in upgrading or know of other leads please let me know.

I will post in the classifieds section but figured I'd try my luck here as well.

    Thanks in advance.

A used PCNC1100 Series II just popped up on ebay in SoCal. Might be worth a look.

Shame it is in America, otherwise I would be bidding on it!

WOW!!! That's only 100 miles from me. Too bad I don't have room for another one. The price I saw was $4,000.00, and it's a Series II. I wonder why he is selling it.

If you want it, you better get on your horse and come down here and get it. At that price, it ain't gonna last long.

$4000 is the current bid. There's about zero change it will go for anywhere near that. Most items on E-Bay, all the real bidding happens in the last 30 seconds. I won't be at all surprised if it ends up going for near the price of a brand new one.

Reason For Selling: Bought as test mill and did not meet some of our requirements. We upgraded to a more advanced machine.

    Used Tormach 1100

I bought a used 1100 last year, also in CA, paid about 9k for it, but it was loaded. If I had had to buy what it came with new, I would have been looking at close to 15k. 4th axis, stand, vise, tooling. I think I came out pretty good. Without all the tooling and accesories, this one may not be such a good deal.

Seems like 8-9k is the market price for 1100's regardless of tooling. I have yet to find a 700 for sale.
