    Anyone need a $30,000 spindle??

Take a look at this thing

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7618445331

    Solid gold would cost less.

dennis: thats the new price, i doubt it will hit anywhere near that on ebay. Would make one hell of a diy milling machine! only issue with it is that 1khz vfd, at 6.5hp you would need one rated somewhere in the region of 12hp, which are also worth their weight in gold, then some.

Some companies build cars and sell them for $10K but these guys make a little motor. Funny how things work.
