Beginner | Setup Mach4 and Leadshine 870S drives

Hi, thanks for letting me be a member of this forum. I have recently purchased a Mach4 Motion Card and connected it to Leadshine EM870S drives, which are connected to a Nema 23 motor. I use the Mach4 software, but I am unable to jog the motors. Can someone verify that the connections are correct as shown in the enclosed picture?

In addition, is there any tool in the Mach4 software that allows me to see the actual signals out from the USB?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
BUGGER!!!!, those XHC motion controllers are junk, at least the Mach4 ones. The Mach4 plugin is hopelessly buggy.

I can only assume that you are posting here because XHC are not helping? XHC is in China, and for support that is China in a galaxy far far away.....

The last I heard was that they would run wxMach only, that is to say they could not run any screenset that relied on the screen editor....ie basically useless.

They may have improved, but the odds are not good.

Sorry to say, but you really need to do yourself a favour and get a motion controller that GENUINELY works with Mach4. In no particular order:

    57CNC by PoKeys
    Ethernet SmoothStepper by Warp9 TD
    Hicon by Vital Systems
    UC100, or UC300 or UC400 by CNCDrive
PMDX 411 or 414 or 416 or 424 by PMDX

I myself have used an Ethernet Smoothstepper for nine, nearly ten years, most recently with my own design breakout board. Gets used daily for business and has done for four years now.
