bigger stepper motor for Z axis?

I have a Spectralight 0200(CNC Sherline mill) with 100 oz steppers on all axis's. Is it possible for me to change out just the Z axis motor to like a 200 oz motor while leaving the x and y with the 100 oz motors? Its been hanging every once in awhile, and I,m thinking maybe its a little light duty for the Z axis.

    Hi,

Switching to a larger motor on your Z axis is ok. Obviously the drive will need to deliver the rated current if you want full torque.
