Question Bringing objects together in V19 & general questions

I'm waiting for my manual to arrive and been playing with some simple designs. If I create two objects then want to merge them, is there a way to drag & drop them together via snap to grid? Kinda like whats done in Rhino? Or do I have to merge them by entering the coordinates?

Also, is there a way to have more than one view of the part on the screen? Again comparing to Rhino which is the only Cad demo that I played with up to this point. Tnx.

    Are you ready?!
Yes, you can align two shapes or groups of shapes using snap points. First off you will need to place a point to snap to on the screen, where-ever you need it. Then you will need to create reference points for the shapes you are working with, or trying to merge. If the first point is a reference for one of your shapes you are merging you will only need a point for the other shape(s). Then select the first shape you wish to move. Go to "Change" => "Translate". In the translation window select "Snap" as the method, make sure your "Scale" is 1, and uncheck "Make Copy". Click on the reference point for the part you are moving, then click on the point where you want it to be moved to. This is the easiest way.
As far as mutliple views. You can have multiple instances of the same file opened at the same time. Just go to "File" => "Open". You will need to reduce the size of the windows on the CAD side but that is how it is accomplished. To update a drawing, Save the file then select each window and Click "Refresh". This should update the views you have open.

    Regards
