    c-axis cross contour help

    hello guys can anyone please tell me how to start a pocket or contour by plunging the end mill in to the center of a hole done in the previous operation i remember you had to select a point after selecting the chain but is not working in mastercam x3 i am trying to machine a key channel and i wanna start by plunging the tool in a hole located at the center of the arc on one end,i just dont remember how to to do it IN THE C- AXIS CROSS CONTOUR toolpath of lathe mastercam ,i can do it in the pocket and contour toolpaths mastercam mill no problem but it does not seem to work the same way in the C- axis cross contour tool path for lathes.. thank you for your time and help.

    When it prompts for the chain, Select "Point" and pick the point at the center of the hole and then pick "Chain" and select the chain that makes up the pocket.

    On the Roughing/Finishing parameters page, go to the LeadIn/Out parameters and check the "Use Entry Point" box (lower left of the dialog).

    Oh yea and......


    Turn off Enter on Helix (roughing/finishing parameter page right side).
