Hello,

I am connecting 2 Siemens servo motors (1FK7022 and 1FK7042) to a Delta Tau UMAC system with ACC-51E (UMAC 4096 interpolator). ACC- 24E2 2-Axis Digital PWM Servo Interface/Breakout Board has 3 TTL inputs for motor Hall sensors.

The motors have Sin-Cos 1Vpp 2048ppr incremental differential encoders with extra C-D tracks for absolute rotor position. These C-D tracks are two 90deg. shifted 1Vpp sinusoidal signals with period = 1 mech. rotor revolution.

Is there a configurable device available to convert the two C-D analogue tracks signals to 3 digital Hall sensor emulation signals for initial rough phasing setting?

Can the UMAC system use these C-D tracks for power-on phase position reading without MACRO hardware? After a power failure a completely safe automatic phase search procedure may be impossible to accomplish due to colision danger.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
