    hi guys,
my company recently bought another company that uses camworks and we use gibbs cam. im trying to save myself time by trying to convert their files over to gibbs cam. is there any software that works to convert files between different cam programs?

    Re: camworks to gibbs cam?

No. Simply because each cam system uses it's own filetypes that contain radically different information. You will have to reprogram every part. If you want, you can get all their posted g-code files and keep them in separate folder and use the proven ones until they need to be reprogrammed. That's how we did it, only reprogram as needed or when the job came up again. G-Code is easy to maintain and edit. If the part changes, then that would warrant a re-program anyways, or at least an update.
