Can someone check my math? DC Power supply.

I have studied the reference docs for steppers on the geckodrive web site.

Using thier information, can someone please check this match and my assumptions?

Motors: 2x (initial, 3rd in the future) 2.3vdc 5.5 amp stepper

    Using a AVEL Y236903 800VA 40V+40V TOROIDAL TRANSFORMER the AC output should be (40x1.414) -1.5=55v 800va/55v=14.5A

Should I get a smaller secondary voltage/higher VA transformer because right now I am at 24x motor voltage and *maybe* a bit shy of total amperage, and that any incease in line voltage would take me over the 'magical' 25x motor rated coltage?

With steppers and a PWM controller you'll be in excellent shape.

I plan in using Gecko 201 drivers and a PMDX(?) controller.

    Thanks.
