    "changing depthincrement to be +ve"

When I generate my tool path, I see the following note:

    "changing depthincrement to be +ve"

In the machining for that shape have my stock surface set as 0 and the depth increment as -0.05

Can someone tell me what the note means and what i should do to fix it?

Target depth is -0.15 which makes 3 passes

    Thanks

Target Depth is almost always a minus number because it is (usually) below the Stock Surface, which is usually set at zero. So anything above the Stock Surface is a positive number and anything below is negative.

The Depth Increment setting tells CamBam how thick the layer is to be removed as it steps down to reach the Target Depth and is always a positive number as there is no ambiguity as to which Z direction will remove more material.

Martin - thanks - I've made the change and the message went away.
