Its been like a year now that im using cimatron 12. Am i in a right way or I need to change to another one. Can i have some sugestions. It can be really helpful.

Personally, I think the cimatron works pretty well, but since you're all set on replacing it, that means it's probably not a good fit for you.

Can you find out any direct option for assign material for imported IGES file in assembly format because I want to make BOM (Bill of materials) so please share your opinions

First, import the IGES file by going to File > Open and selecting the IGES format. After importing, right-click on each part in the FeatureManager design tree, choose Material > Edit Material, and select the appropriate material from the library. Once all materials are assigned, you can generate the BOM by going to Insert > Tables > Bill of Materials.
