    controller box

    Howdy

OK lurker comin' out. Just a few shots of my controller. My ugly diy machine will follow soon. Keeling motors and 48 v. ps. Obviously G540, cooling fan from radio shack. Led's a surprise but what the hell. Do I need the fan? Thought the controller box was different and cheap!!!!!!!!!!

    Helllo all

    Jim,

Cooling fan is always a good idea, but it won't do you much good unless you have some way for the external air to enter the box and exit via the fan. I'm assuming you thought of that as well and have an air entrance cut out planned for somewhere on the case?

Completed controller. I'm using stereo jacks and plugs for the limit switches. Does anyone think that could be a problem?

    Thanks Jim L

    What components did you use?

Just curious on the size of your table and the components that you used. That our your motor sizes? I am gathering info to build my first cnc and the electronics are the barrier at the moment. Thanks
